Hi! I'm SO glad you're here!
Hi! I'm SO glad you're here!
The headline says it all. Jesus comes first in my life. He’s my best friend and my savior.
Here are some of my favorite things God has given me outside of the obvious (family, friends, life, volleyball)
So I took an athletic test to see what kind of Athlete “Personality” I have back when I was in middle school and they said I was an Engineer. I took it again recently and and they said I was a Rocket.
Heres what I know to be true: I am always growing. I LOVE this game and I learn something new from it every day.
If you’d like to psychoanalyze me though there’s a link below to my report.
Gym time. My time. I absolutely love spending time in the gym. There's no other place off a court better to turn your brain off and just be. Trust me. You will feel better. The gym makes dreams come true. The gym says I can be Batman.
My favorite thing after volleyball is traveling, so I’m grateful volleyball gives me an excuse to visit lots of new convention centers. When I'm at home my favorite things are spending time with my cats and my friends.
Hadassah- Tuxedo Maine Coon. Perfection. See pics if you don't believe me.
Scarlett- Grey Tiger Stripe with a white tail. Precious baby. Sister to Sydney who needs to leave Hadassah alone.
Sydney- Dark Grey Tiger Stripe with a black tail and blacker heart. Giant bully. Needs to leave my baby alone.
Dad. 6’6”. Epic Beard. Genius. Fixer of things. Air Force.
Mom. 6’0”.Warrior. International Woman of Mystery. Army.
Luke. 6’9”. Still growing. Future leg extension donor to deserving little sister. Air Force.
Nadia. 5’10”. Good at everything, has a big heart and is also irritating after the first hour. Only I can say that though. You can't. Future overthrower of the Marines.
I was in third grade when I was diagnosed with dyslexia, visual tracking and memory retention learning disabilites. At the time I couldn't spell my name and my teachers didn't have much hope I would improve. I failed my SOLs and I was put on my first IEP. I was in 6th grade when my ADHD was diagnosed. At the time my time management was terrible and the anxiety from it was crippling. The COVID years didn't help.
This was where I first learned that the obstacles don't matter if I am more stubborn than my problem. I'm proud of my straight As in honors classes. I was proud to join the National Honor Society this past Spring and I was excited to be named a Junior Beta and NJHS member in middle school. I was proud to get the letter saying I was a gifted writer and was accepted into the gifted program. I may need a little more time to get there but that's okay, I can manage it, because I've been learning how to my whole life. Hard work and belief that I can accomplish anything given enough time are the key tools in my utility belt.
